Main Entrance Gate on Hwy. 22 Scheduled for Construction

The start date for the reconstruction of the Main Entrance, on Hwy. 22 across from the Goodwill store, is now scheduled.  Demolition will start this coming Tuesday, April 25th.   The Security Guards will move into the temporary guardhouse starting on Friday, April 21st.  The demolition will take a few days and the foundation work will follow. The timeline to completion is approximately 90 days from commencement with weather permitting.  The project includes a new turn-around in front of the guardhouse.  Once the construction is done the re-landscaping of the entrance median and shoulders will follow with new signage and landscape lighting.

We do not anticipate any major interruption with traffic flow entering and exiting the subdivision until the roadway asphalt work commences approximately 60 days into the construction.  We will be providing updates and details regarding any traffic pattern changes in advance of those changes taking place.

This is a continuation of the first step in our Master Plan to re-image Beau Chene. During the community-wide re-imaging workshops held in 2014, the entrances of Beau Chene, including the guard houses, were at the top of the list in need of improvements and updates.  As a result of the re-imagining meetings the BCHOA received a master plan that incorporates many items, including walking paths and lighting for street signs, in addition to the renovation of all three guardhouses and entrances.  The Board of Directors prioritized the projects based on urgency and financial costs. The renovation of the guardhouses is the first scheduled project from the master plan.

For more information on what is happening in the community please refer to the website at www.bchoa.org and our Facebook member only page at www.facebook.com/groups/BeauCheneHOA .

Please direct all concerns and inquiries to the BCHOA office.  Our lines of communication are open to all residents.

Keeping You Informed

Dear Homeowners and Residents,

  • Status of the Fontainbleau (East) Gate Entrance Renovation
We received a variance last month from the parish Board of Adjustments for our new entrance signage.  The parish regulations concerning residential subdivision center median entrance signs has changed over the years and we had to request a variance.  We are currently getting bids on the new signage and hope to have the completed sign installed very shortly.

  • New Vehicle Decals
The new vehicle decals have been available since November of 2016.  As of January 31, 2017, the old decals officially expired.   Starting February 1st, all vehicles that still have the old decal on their windshields will be stopped and drivers will be asked to show their IDs to be scanned.  As of today, 90% of our homeowners have requested and obtained the new decals.   Thank you for your great cooperation throughout this process!
Homeowners and Beau Chene Country Club (BCCC) members may still obtain the new decals via the website at bchoa.org, in-person at the BCHOA offices OR mailing in a completed decal form.  If you require assistance, please contact the BCHOA office at 985-231-6285 or email us at info@bchoa.org.

  • Name the Oak Tree Contest
In conjunction with the Beau Chene Oak Tree Project started by the BC Garden Club, the BCHOA has identified southern live oak trees on our property that qualify to be registered with The Live Oak Society.  Our two most prominent BCHOA owned oak trees are located on Beau Chene Boulevard at the Main Gate Entrance to Beau Chene.  Several names have been suggested, so the HOA has decided to let the residents choose from the list below for each.  Submit your vote via email at info@bchoa.org by March 1st.

The name that receives the largest number of votes will be given to the live oak in   the median. The name receiving the second largest number of votes will be given to the live oak on the western side of the median.  The suggested names are:

  • The Salutation Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Sentinel Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Guardian Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Welcome Home Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Tranquility Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Bonjour Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Hospitality Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Community Oak of Beau Chene
  • The Friendship Oak of Beau Chene

Vehicle Decal – Register Online

Notice to All Beau Chene Property Owners and Beau Chene Country Club Members – How to Obtain the New Vehicle Decals

The new vehicle decals have arrived and this communication will explain all the available options to obtain the new decals. All Beau Chene property owners and Beau Chene Country Club (BCCC) members that are not property owners are authorized to receive the new decal for each vehicle they own. Residents that do not own property, but instead rent, will have access to a 24 Hour Pass with an expiration date of six (6) months. Extended family members of property owners that do not reside in Beau Chene will also have access to the 24 Hour Pass. The 24 Hour Pass is a numbered place card that is shown to the security guard as you enter the subdivision. All 24 Hour Passes are only issued in person at the BCHOA office. The current decal will no longer be officially recognized for access to the subdivision after January 31, 2017.

In order to make the process as easy as possible, we have implemented several options to obtain the new decals for authorized residents and BCCC members. The options include: 1 Online through our website, bchoa.org; 2. By Mail with the vehicle decal form; 3. In-person at the BCHOA office; and 4. Designated days in person at the BCCC parking lot.

The easiest way to obtain the new decal is via our website with an online form. We have created an online option just for this process with a callout button at the top of each website page labeled “New Vehicle Decal Form”. Select the callout button at the top of every page and complete all required information on the form. Hit Submit. Your submission will be received by the BCHOA staff and once the information is verified, you will receive your decals either via mail or in-person at the BCHOA office based on your indicated preference.

The online registration form is here: VEHICLE DECAL REGISTRATION

Another option to obtain the decals is to come in person to the BCCC parking lot and we will have a tent setup staffed by BCHOA employees, Board Directors and Security Committee members to process your vehicle decal request forms and issue the decals on-site. We have scheduled three different designated days.
The designated days are:

Tuesday, November 8th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Saturday, December 3rd from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Monday, December 5th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

For all options except the online option, you will need to complete a vehicle Decal Form with the required information. This form may be found on the website under the tab “Information” and select “Documents and Forms”. The link to this location is FORMS. The forms are also available at the BCHOA office.

The first four (4) requested decals will be provided at no charge. There will be a $10.00 charge for each additional decal over four (4). Please mail a check payable to Beau Chene Homeowners Association for each additional decal over four (4) to: BCHOA at 105 Beau Chene Blvd., Suite 100, Mandeville, La. 70471. Please indicate your name and either your Beau Chene property address or BCCC club number in your correspondence. You may also drop off the check in-person or at our drop off box in front of the BCHOA office.
