Dear Homeowners and Residents,
Our 2017 scheduled road overlay project will commence Wednesday, October 25th. This process will involve milling the existing asphalt (the removal of 1.5 inches of existing roadway pavement) and relaying a 1.5-inch layer of asphalt.
The milling will start at the corner of N. Beau Chene and Tete L’Ours on Wednesday, Oct. 25th, and continue around the country club onto Beau Chene Drive towards the Main entrance.
On Thursday, October 26th, the milling will be performed on Beau Chene Blvd. (Main Entrance). There will be intermittent entrance and exit lane closures with one-way traffic only throughout Thursday. The entering lanes will be shut down for a period of time allowing ONLY exiting traffic then the exit lanes will be shut down allowing ONLY entering traffic during this process on Thursday.
After the Main entrance is milled, the milling will continue down Beau Chene Drive to 832 Beau Chene Dr. on the marina side of the subdivision.
On Tuesday, October 31st, the Main entrance lanes will have a new layer of asphalt applied. Again, there will be intermittent entrance and exit lane closures with one-way traffic only throughout Tuesday, October 31st.
The Main entrance will remain open throughout this process but expect lane closures with one-way traffic, short delays and rerouting traffic to other entrances. If possible, use the East and Marina entrances on Thursday, Oct. 26th and Tuesday, Oct. 31st.
Weather permitting, the estimated completion of the milling and asphalt work is Friday, November 3rd, with speed humps, painting and road stripping to follow.
Please drive cautiously and obey the directions of flagmen directing traffic. Please contact the BCHOA office at 985-231-6285 or via e-mail at cristinad@bchoa.org with any questions.
